All that You Can't Leave Behind and Elevation Tour
After the experimental electronic sounds 1990's All That You Can't Leave Behind, released in October 2000, was perceived by many as a return to grace the sound of 80's. The album, regarded by many as the «third masterpiece» The group Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby, was again produced Ino and Lanua. He won first place in 22 countries.
The following songs from the album were released as singles: Beautiful Day (1st place in the UK); Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of; Elevation (used in the film «Lara Croft: Rashititelnitsa tombs») and Walk On. Album has been awarded seven prizes «Grammy».
Elevation Tour, after a decade of performances at the stadium, took place in arenas with heart form stage and ramp, which made the group closer to the audience. The events of 11 September 2001 nearly led to the cancellation of tour of America, but U2 have decided to continue it, and the song Walk On, and New York sounded with new vigor. A few weeks after the tragedy occurred on 11 September, the ice palace in the town of Notre Dame (State Indianapolis) big concert was U2, which was broadcast through a web broadcast around the world. In 2002, U2 have issued a second hits compilation The Best of 1990-2000. Four songs from Pop, unfinished in the rush before the Popmart, were reworked in the studio, and was recorded two new songs: The Hands that Built America for the film by Martin Scorsese «Gang of New York» and Electrical Storm (5th place in the UK).
